With over 37 years of marketing and public relations experience with large companies, including 21 years as Staff Vice President of Corporate Communications with Westlake Village’s Pleasant Holidays, Ken opened his own company in February 2007 called Marketing & Promotions Network. His “Network” consists of professionals specializing in all forms of writing, public relations, creative, online development, media buying, audio/video production, commercials, special events, and promotions. He stresses quality work, fast job turnarounds, and cost efficiency for clients.

Prior to joining Pleasant Holidays, he was Director of Program Development and Communications for Red Carpet Real Estate Corporation of America. He was also Executive Director of the organization’s Broker Advisory Council that represented over 1,000 real estate franchisees nationally.

In 1974, Ken joined the Los Angeles office of Hill & Knowlton Public Relations/Public Affairs; at the time, the largest public relations agency in the world. His clients included Motorola, ARCO, Fotomat, Mazda, and Building Industry Association of California.

Previously, he was community relations manager for the Irvine Company in Newport Beach, CA, where he represented the company at six area chambers of commerce and spoke on the company’s behalf to local schools and other groups.

Ken began his career in public relations while still attending college. He was public relations and membership director for the Buena Park Chamber of Commerce, where he promoted local businesses, such as Knott’s Berry Farm, Movieland Wax Museum, and other attractions.

He graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s Degree in Radio and Television in 1973 and a Master of Arts Degree in Journalism and Public Relations in 1976, under a full academic scholarship.

Ken lives with his wife Linda in Moorpark, CA. He enjoys movies, collecting DVDs, watching football, and playing golf. He has two adult sons—Kirk and Lee—who also live in southern California.
